Keeping the reading process exciting can be challenging so each day the children do a different reading group warm up. One group had to play memory with high frequency words. Another group was practising their listening and sound identification of phonemes . The children had to choose an item out of a treasure chest and say the word out loud then write down the individual sounds they hear to spell the word! Very tricky but they did well!
