Wednesday the 11th

Tomorrow is Arahoe Peace Day, to celebrate Diwali and Armistice Day. As part of this celebration children are allowed to wear cultural clothing that represents their culture. As part of this celebration E-Learning will be performing to the year 0/1 students their Diwali dance at 2.30pm on the outdoor stage. For the performance the students will be wearing traditional Indian clothing, for the boys who do not have a costume please bring in a black t-shirt and shorts/ pants for them to wear underneath their costume.

Wednesday 11 November marks the hindu Festival of Diwali and First World War Armistice Day.  
To mark the event Arahoe will be hosting a “Peace Day”.
We encourage all students to come to school on Peace Day in national dress and/or traditional ethnic clothes.


Each student will be gifted a battery operated candle/diya.

An Arahoe commemorative event will take place from 10:30am-12pm, on the front courts, in front of NZ flag. We welcome members of the Arahoe School community, friends and whanau to join us.
