It was such a special day to bring the Indian and wider Arahoe community together to celebrate Diwali. We have had a really special three weeks preparing our Diwali performance and the children have throughly loved every minute learning about the Indian culture, the dance moves and today was the highlight performing in front of their friends and families.
Huge thank you for taking time out to come and spend the afternoon with us. Jaimee and I are so proud of every student of E.Learning, they didn't get stage fright, got up there in front of all these people and performed perfectly. They are all true performers.
We would like to acknowledge that this would not be able to have happened without the support and help from Bhumi Patel. Bhumi came into the class three mornings a week to teach the children a dance. We would also like to thank all the parents who brought in traditional indian clothing for the class, jewellery, Diwali food and helped with feedback about the dance, and today getting the children into their costumes. Thank you.
