For our Matariki celebrations we will be learning some traditional Maori stick games and songs. On Thursday we learnt how to play a Maori stick game We had to learn how to hold the sticks, stay in time with each other, follow four movements of taping the sticks together, on the floor, above our heads or taping our partners sticks. It was very tricky!
