Spelling lists

Today all children took home their first spelling list. Their list has five words that they need to learn to read, spell aloud and write by memory. I test the children on their spelling words every Friday. Once the children can read write and spell those words they get a sticker next to the word and once they know all of them they are given a new spelling list . Once each child had two spelling lists they will be kept together on a ring. Please try not to lose the spelling lists - if a child does lose their spelling lists it costs $3 for a new list - this takes into account the cost of printing, laminating and the ring to attach it together.
